Asera Electrical Toolkit — Privacy Policy

1. Who operates the application

Asera Electrical Toolkit is a product of Asera Digital Assets, a business unit of Asera Group Ltd. Asera Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17376205). The registered office is 4th Floor Office, 205 Regent Street, London, W1B 4HB.

Asera Group Ltd is the data controller responsible for the application and the information described in this policy.

2. Account-free offline operation

The application does not require registration, login, a cloud account or cloud synchronisation. Core calculations, diagrams and troubleshooting resources are bundled with the application and work without an internet connection.

Features that depend on external websites or Google Play services, such as opening a web link or purchasing the application, require network connectivity.

3. Information entered and how it is processed

To perform calculations, users enter electrical values such as cable sizes, conductor lengths, voltage figures, current ratings, impedance values and protective device ratings. Users may also enter manual lux readings for the lighting tool and select troubleshooting answers, search or filter options.

All calculations are performed locally on the user's device. The application applies electrical formulas and reference data implemented within the application itself. The application does not upload calculation inputs, troubleshooting answers or selection data to Asera Group Ltd.

4. Session retention and clearing

Calculator inputs, troubleshooting answers, search and filter selections, and navigation state are held in the device's memory for the current running session. This information may remain in memory while the session is running, including when navigating between screens or temporarily backgrounding the application.

Switching away from the application or briefly backgrounding it does not by itself clear this information. The information is cleared when the application's session is destroyed or restarted. Reset controls within the application clear the relevant calculator state.

The application does not save these inputs to local storage, cookies, IndexedDB, a cloud database or an Asera server. Asera Group Ltd holds no server copy of these calculation inputs to delete.

5. Optional ambient-light readings

Where the device supports it and the feature is used, the application processes ambient-light readings locally for the lighting tool. Readings are held in memory for the current session and are not transmitted to Asera Group Ltd or saved persistently by the application.

The availability of ambient-light readings depends on the device. The application does not fabricate readings and does not maintain a persistent sensor history. This policy does not claim that native sensor operation has been independently verified. The application does not access the camera, microphone or location for this feature.

6. Whether information is transmitted to Asera

Calculation inputs, troubleshooting answers and selection data are not transmitted to Asera Group Ltd or any Asera server. The application is designed so that its core calculation and reference features work without sending user-entered information to Asera.

Information that the user voluntarily copies, shares or sends to an external destination is handled by the receiving app, service or website under its own terms. This policy does not claim that Android, Google Play, browsers or receiving apps perform no independent data processing.

7. Accounts and deletion

The application does not require users to create an account. There is no app account to delete and no account-deletion form within the application.

Because calculation inputs are held in session memory and are not saved to an Asera server, there is no server-side data to delete through an account function. Users can clear session data by ending or restarting the application, or by using in-app reset controls.

8. Analytics, tracking and advertising

This release of the application contains no advertising and no app analytics tracking. No analytics or advertising SDKs are included in the application.

Google Play, as the distribution platform, may perform its own independent install and crash reporting processing that is outside the application's control and is governed by Google's own policies. This is distinct from any developer-controlled analytics within the application itself.

9. Software components

The application is built using locally bundled software components that support the user interface and native integration, such as the Android share interface. These components are not used by Asera Group Ltd to upload calculation data or user-entered information.

The standalone application excludes the Base44 SDK, authentication bootstrap and Base44 analytics plugin that may be present in Asera's web preview environment.

10. Google Play purchases

The application is sold through Google Play. Google processes the purchase and payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Asera Group Ltd does not receive full payment-card details through the application.

Google Play may make developer sales and order information available to Asera Group Ltd as the developer. This may include transaction-level information provided by Google's developer reporting. Such information is governed by Google Play's terms and is separate from the calculation data entered into the application.

11. Clipboard and sharing

The application allows users to copy and share calculation summaries. Copy writes the selected summary to the device's clipboard. Share passes the selected summary to the Android share interface, which sends plain-text content to the destination the user selects.

Copying and sharing are initiated by the user. The application does not share information automatically. The chosen receiving app or service handles shared information under its own privacy policy.

Content retained in the device clipboard or stored within another app is outside this application's session-clearing behaviour. Users are responsible for managing content they copy or share.

12. External links

The application may link to external technical-reference and privacy websites. These links are opened only when the user selects them. Opening a link does not send calculator inputs or troubleshooting answers with it.

External websites may receive ordinary web-request information, such as an IP address, and may use cookies under their own policies. The data-handling practices of the Asera Group website are separate from those of this Android application and are described in the Asera Group Privacy Notice.

13. Permissions used by the Android application

The prepared application manifest declares the android.permission.INTERNET permission and an optional light-sensor hardware feature. A complete merged-manifest inspection has not been supplied, so this policy does not provide a definitive list of all Android permissions that may appear in the final build.

The application does not request access to the camera, microphone or location for its features. Users should review the permissions requested at installation through Google Play.

14. Security and user control

Calculation data stays on the user's device in the running session. The application does not provide absolute security guarantees. Users are encouraged to consider what they copy or share, and to use device-level security features such as screen locks and encryption.

15. Data retention and deletion

Calculation inputs, troubleshooting answers and selection data are held in session memory and are cleared when the session is destroyed or restarted. The application does not maintain persistent local records of this information.

Content that the user has copied to the clipboard, shared to another app, or exported to a file may persist outside the application until the user or the receiving app deletes it. Uninstalling the application removes the application and its session state from the device.

16. Children's privacy

The application is intended for adults and is not directed at children. Asera Group Ltd does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this application. The application does not provide age-verification functionality.

17. International availability

The application is designed for users in the UK and implements UK electrical standards and regulations. It is available through Google Play, which may make it accessible in multiple countries. Users outside the UK should be aware that the calculations and references may not reflect the standards or regulations of their jurisdiction.

18. Changes to this privacy policy

Asera Group Ltd may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically.

19. Support correspondence and contact

If you contact support, your email address, message and any voluntarily supplied attachments are used to respond to your enquiry. Support correspondence is handled in accordance with the Asera Group Privacy Notice.

Asera Group Ltd does not promise immediate deletion of records that are subject to legitimate or legal retention requirements.
